Once your Physician Certification has been Uploaded
If you chose a "Plus" appointment.
Health and Life Missouri staff will complete and submit your state application after your visit with the physician. Once we submit your application (usually within an hour of your appointment) you will receive an email from MMMP confirming your application submission. We'll also send a message letting you know everything went well. All you have to do is wait for your approval email.
It is currently taking an average of 3-7 days for applications to be approved by the state, but they have up to 30 days to process.
If your application is rejected, you will receive a notification email from MMMP. Do not panic! Rejections occur when one or more errors are found in your application. Contact us immediately if you receive a notice of rejection - most issues can be resolved in as little as 10 minutes.
Once your application is approved, you will receive a notification email from MMMP. Licenses are valid in digital and paper format, so you can print out your card or simply keep it saved on your phone.
You can access your license in your MMMP License Dashboard. Find your patient license, click the button at the very end of the row (in the Actions column), then click "Download/Print License."
Afterwards, you're all set to visit the dispensary!

If you chose the "Certification Visit" without state help and you do not yet have a state account.
Once you finish your appointment with the physician we will upload your physician certification to the state. You will receive an email from MMMP letting you know your certification is ready for your application. Health and Life Missouri will also message you letting you know everything went well.
If this is your first time applying to the state for a medical marijuana card you will need to complete this step before you can fill out your application. You can create your account at any time, you do not need to wait until after your appointment.
Click on the "create your state account" button below.
Choose patient/caregiver/physician on the application type dropdown menu.
Fill in your information.
Hit the "register" button on the bottom.
Check your inbox for a "verification" email from MMMP.
Open the email and click on the "verify" button.
If you chose "Certification Visit" and you already have a state account.
Once you finish your appointment with the physician we will upload your physician certification to the state. You will receive an email from MMMP letting you know your certification is ready for your application. Health and Life Missouri will also message you letting you know everything went well.
You can then follow these steps to fill out and submit your application independently:
Log in to your MMMP account
Locate and click the “Applications” button on the sidebar
Create your New Patient or Patient Renewal Application
Follow instructions to complete your application
Locate and click the “REVIEW” tab
Review the application for accuracy
Click the box to confirm your photo meets the listed requirements
Click “PAY & SUBMIT” and follow the instructions to pay and submit your application!
Once your transaction is approved, you should receive two emails from MMMP: one confirming your application submission, and a payment receipt.

Rejections occur when one or more errors are found in your application; you will be asked to correct your application and resubmit it within 10 days free of charge.

Downloading your License
After you receive your approval email you can access your license in your MMMP License Dashboard. Find your patient license, click the button at the very end of the row (in the Actions column), then click "Download License." Afterwards, you're all set to visit the dispensary!
